2008
Hmmm...A new resident? Just outside, someone is happy it's Spring.
Thanks to Barbara Silpe for sharing many of the wonderful scenery and nature photographs on this page.
● In 2008, the Living Well Family Band will be performing at a number of care homes across the state of Vermont, sharing their love of drums and music. Area harpist Margie Beckoff has been doing this for a number of years and recently asked our very own band to join her. Margie is pictured here when she—and her harp—visited Living Well.

2007

● Residents at Living Well made and sent Christmas ornaments for the United States Capital Christmas tree, which the state of Vermont is provided for 2007.
● Our annual Open House was held in November. In between enjoying healthy snacks buffet-style, everyone was treated to some impromptu music.
● In November, residents entered a homemade gingerbread house in a local contest. As previous winners in the People's Choice category, everyone anxiously awaits the results. The gingerbread house is currently on display at the National Bank in Middlebury, VT.
● More fun holiday-related news—two residents helped make garlands as part of downtown decorations in Bristol Village, VT.
● Living Well Care Home was nominated for the Governor's Healthy Aging Award in the Program Champion category for their drumming circle, and subsequently spawned Family Band.
● The Living Well Family Band has had several public gigs with many more on the way!
(Some of the links below may require Adobe Reader) ● Jazz for Peace performed a benefit concert for Living Well, and it's parent association Awakening Sanctuary, this summer in Bristol, VT. View the flyer, the evening's program, and the sponsors who helped make the evening a success.
Another concert is planned for Nov. 2008!
● We've added a page where you can meet our favorite Suppliers - wonderful businesses that have shared their talent and/or products with our residents.
● A grant was received from Merchant's Bank Foundation; the proceeds will be applied toward the purchase of a stair lift, enabling residents to easily maneuver to the second floor.

2006 ● Annual Fall Open House - Sunday, November 12th 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. The public is invited to visit our facility, meet our residents and staff, sample our healthy food, and enjoy live music. ● Newspaper article from Addison Independent August 7th, 2006. ● Living Well sponsored the Fleximind Memory Program in August 2006. ● Short Term Respite Care is available; view bookmark and learn more. ● Special recognition awarded to our residents-decorated float in the July 4th parade! ● Living Well's Administration was interviewed by a national publication to discuss our unique method of operations. We are the first nonprofit health care facility in the country to utilize a dynamic governance model called sociocracy.
